For those in the real estate industry, 2005 was a year of escalating home prices, relatively low interest rates, and overall, a profitable investment environment. Will 2006 hold similar fortunes? Here's a host of Web sites analyzing what was in 2005, and what very well might be in 2006.
In the article, Top Mistakes of Home Buyers and Sellers in 2005, real estate author Mark Nash lists the top mistakes made by home buyers and sellers. He says that with the over-hyped real estate bubble lurking, home buyers and sellers missed some important aspects of the transitional market in 2005.
In The 10 Best Real Estate Books of 2005, Robert Bruss of Inman News selects the 10 best real estate books out of the hundreds published over the year. He says 2005 was especially difficult because of the unusually large number of new realty books published. He also lists a handful of honorable mentions.
